T-ARA
T-ara 티아라 is a South Korean girl group formed by Mnet Media in 2009. Before their debut, there was a high level of interest in the group as they were called "Super Rookies" and had been training for three years prior to debut. Originally a five member group, they released their first song Good Person for the Cinderella Man OST in April 2009. In June 2009 members Jiwon and Jiae left the group, ruining the original plans for debut. The next month, T-ara regrouped to become a 6 member group and released their debut single "Geojitmal" (Korean: "거짓말" lit. "Lies").)

The Wonder Girls made their debut with mini-album The Wonders Begin in early 2007, but underwent a member change just months later with Hyuna leaving and Yoobin coming in. The new team released their first full album The Wonder Years in September; its main track Tell Me was a huge hit, and their popularity soared.
Wonder Girls kicked off their first concert tour in Bangkok in February 2009; their agency announced after the end of the tour in Seoul that the girls were ready to take on the America, and subsequently released an English version of Nobody.
Wonder Girls toured with American pop group Jonas Brothers as their concerts’ opening act in mid 2009. The appearances helped the girls to gain popularity in the US, with Nobody ranking on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart soon after.
Wonder Girls underwent another member change with Sun Mi leaving to pursue her study in February 2010. Hong Kong born Hye-rim joined in as replacement, and the new team released a multi-lingual mini album 2 Different Tears in May.

4Minute was announced in May 2009, along with two of the group’s members, Kim Hyun Ah and Nam Ji Hyun. Although Ji Hyun is known as the leader, many singing parts and centered dancing roles belong to HyunA(who is a former member of Wonder Girls) On June 11, 2009, the silhouette teaser video was released online, along with their official website.[1] The remaining three members’ identities were kept secret until June 12.[2] On June 15, 2009, their debut single “Hot Issue” was released along with another teaser video and the profiles for each group member.[3] Within hours of the song release, it quickly climbed onto top five within various digital music charts such as Cyworld, Bugs, Soribada, and Mnet.[4] 4minute had their debut performances on June 18-21 with “Hot Issue” on Mnet’s “m!countdown“, ”KBS’s Music Bank“, “MBC’s music core” and SBS’s Popular Song.
